For Bossman Dlow’s Spotify Radar performance, I art directed a set rooted in themes of resilience, memory, and hometown pride. Inspired by the spirit of local courts—spaces where community, identity, and competition converge—we built a world that felt lived-in, imperfect, and deeply personal.
The court we created wasn’t pristine; it was cracked, uneven, weathered. But in those fractures, flowers bloomed—vibrant and persistent. The visual language nodded to wear-and-tear not as decay, but as evidence of growth, time, and presence.
I led the set design and overall visual direction, drawing from conversations with the artist and translating Spotify’s brief into a spatial story. Collaborating with the Grand Crew team, production designer, photographer, and director Geoff Levy, we shaped a space that felt both grounded and symbolic—reflecting Dlow’s voice and the roots that shaped him.
